Online dating tips for women over 40?
My mother is 49, and a widow of 2yrs.. She has started using Match.com and already encountered a scammer! For some reason, it seems like all of her common sense has flown out the window and I am very concerned for her safety! Not to mention my younger siblings still live at home with her!
I need some good advice and safety tips to give her! I am freaking out a little, I know, but this last incident really scared me!
I would love to take her out and distract her, but she works nights so our schedules conflict a lot!
I want her to be happy, but it tears me up to see my little sister confused and angry! I understand that she is lonely and that may impair her judgement a little.. just wish she wouldn't be so trusting!
Grace, Mom is acting like a teen again, because she feels the draw to get attention, and feel wanted by a guy. Hard to compete with that ... so .... try getting her into a gym or other activity .. single cruse .. something a bit more face to face ... internet is ok, but ya gotta remember there are a lot of players pretending to be nice... and a whole lot of fat guy naked eating cheetos just surfing for women to "bond"with. Ladies,
I am trying to give my dad some encouragement and dating tips. He just turned 50. He has been single for 15 years. The only woman he was ever married to was my mom, and she died. He wants to date and would love to get married again. He retired last year. Any tips on where he could go to meet nice ladies. He wont buy a computer, so on-line is out of the question. I just want to see my dad happy. Any suggestions would be helpful.

i met this guy online, he took me to the movies we agreed to start dating. we spoke on the phone alot and went to the movies alot then he told me he loved me, and would not feel right until i felt the same so, i eventually told him i loved him too and took things to a personal level. he stayed at my house for three days sometimes a week got real close with my family members. then he lost his job but he was motivated to find another so i stayed. i was putting so much effort into that relationship but we started argueing somtime. we realized we had different values and ideas he even told me i was no fun to be around. a one day he told me basketball playoffs were coming up and he couldn't talk or see me for 40 days because he had to stay at home and watch his sports. he acted like he could care less about our relationship, and even told me he was waiting for me tell him i want to breakup, and i did like a day ago and i just found out online that hes seeing this woman who has like a modeling agency and is one year older than me. i feel so used and even though im trying to stay postive i feel horrible and under valued. any tips for how to get over a jerk?
MEN- would you date a woman who was in the process of losing weight?
Long story short, I had a cancer scare a couple years back when I was 22, (I will be 25 in a couple months now) and it led to me really re-evaluating my lifestyle and making changes. It's taken time to find things that work for me, but it's paid off, so far I've lost almost 40 pounds. I used to weight 240, now I weigh just over 200. I've done a half marathon and a 5k race since then, and exercise a few times a week, eat healthier and appropriate portions (but I still allow myself a splurge once a month or so with going out or something) drink less, quit smoking, and have really boosted my confidence and changed my lifestyle for the better.
I met a guy off a dating website (I'm moving from Arizona to Wyoming at the end of the year). He seems really amazing, we talk on the phone and text a lot, he is the same age as me. Anyway, he's seen a lot of pictures of me and I've told him I've lost weight and am still working on losing weight but I didn't give specifics and he didn't ask. How much detail should I really give him? I don't want him thinking I'm really insecure about it, because honestly, I'm not, but I just don't want him thinking I'm smaller than I am or having a false image in his head of me.
